Review of SocialSpark Added

June 21st, 2008

A review of the blog monetization and social network SocialSpark has been added to the site.

Here is a small excerpt of the review:

1

The challenge faced by most publishers when it comes to traditional advertising networks that pay based on conversions, clicks, or impressions is that the publisher still has to be concerned with how well the paid advertisement performs. The advantage offered by paid post services removes this barrier. So long as the publisher meets the requirements of the advertiser, they are guaranteed payment.

IZEA is not new to paid posts, having already run the sometimes popular PayPerPost network since 2006. In many ways, SocialSpark is an extension of PayPerPost, operating on much the same model. Publishers still take opportunities and get paid to write paid reviews on their blogs, but SocialSpark adds a social networking element into the mix as well.

Features

SocialSpark specializes in blog marketing and blog advertising. Publishers browse through an extensive marketplace filled with advertising opportunities, selecting the ones that pique their interest. By the same accord, advertisers can browse through the blogs that have registered with SocialSpark to see if there are any blogs that are of specific interest to them.”

Review of ClickBank Added

June 5th, 2008

We’ve added a review of the affiliate network ClickBank to the site.

Here is a small excerpt of the review:

1 “ClickBank is a different kind of CPA-based advertising network. It has largely been designed for small business owners and other entrepreneurs to promote their digital products. These products are usually e-books and software packages, and they allow these original developers to set their own pricing and commission level.

By and large, ClickBank has much more of a marketplace-like feel to it, because there is a low barrier to entry for the advertisers to promote their digital products. Instead of setting up their own e-store or posting multiple auctions on eBay, they can remotely host the digital product with ClickBank and have ClickBank deal with the entire purchase process. Customers can pay by credit card or PayPal, and the product will be delivered to them in digital format almost instantly.

Features

By promoting digital products offered through the ClickBank marketplace, Internet marketers and website publishers have the opportunity to earn substantial commissions. The marketplace has over 10,000 different products to promote and they range substantially in scope, price, and quality.

Commission rates also vary considerably. Depending on the product, advertisers may be willing to pay out as much as 75% of each sale. This would be 75% of the net price.

When a digital product is listed in the ClickBank marketplace, a 7.5% + $1 posting fee is assessed. For example, if the advertiser has an e-book that has a retail price of $100, the “net” price is $91.50. If the commission rate is 75%, the person promoting the product and referring the sale would receive 75% of $91.50, which works out to $68.63. A large number of products in the ClickBank database offer a commission rate of 50% or better.”

Review of MaxBounty Added

May 29th, 2008

A review of the affiliate network MaxBounty has been added to the site.

Here is a small excerpt of the review:

1“As affiliate marketing becomes more popular and more lucrative, more advertising networks are popping up that offer some of the best CPA (cost per action) rates in the business. Instead of relying on a CPC or CPM based model of site monetization, publishers can now cash in on very lucrative affiliate deals while offering their site visitors a great level of value.

MaxBounty is one such CPA-based advertising network and it says that it has some of best payouts in the industry. Better still, MaxBounty is fully ensconced in the world of web 2.0, offering all sorts of ways to stay on top of the latest and greatest affiliate deals in its network.

Features

At the time that this review was written, MaxBounty had approximately 300 different affiliate deals available in its network. Like other CPA-based networks, MaxBounty allows publishers to receive a single aggregate payment from all the different advertisers, rather than having to sign up for each affiliate program independently and receiving individual payments from each of the advertisers.

All advertisers work on a pay-per-performance basis. This means that in order for a publisher to get paid, a site visitor must complete a certain action. This could be registering for an online service, signing up for a free trial, or completing a purchase with the advertiser. Some of the affiliate deals offered through MaxBounty are managed in-house, whereas others are managed by the advertisers themselves.”

Review of Clickbooth Added

May 25th, 2008

We’ve added a review of the popular CPA affiliate network Clickbooth.

Here is a small excerpt of the review:

1Clickbooth is an advertising network that specializes in affiliate marketing. What this means is that the ads served by Clickbooth are based on the CPA (cost per action) model. Publishers only get paid when a visitor performs a certain action, like filing out an application form, providing an email address, or completing a purchase.

In this way, it is in the publisher’s best interest to send qualified leads to the advertiser’s website rather than trying to generate the most impressions or the most clicks possible.

Features

Publishers have the opportunity to select specific affiliate campaigns for advertising on their respective websites. For example, publishers of automotive websites may want to focus on campaigns that would interest automotive enthusiasts, whereas shopping sites that target women may achieve better success selecting campaigns that target this demographic. Nearly every campaign comes with a wide range of banners in a variety of sizes. Clickbooth also offers custom rotators to deliver ads and increase conversions.
